A Moment That Changed Everything
Back when I was studying acting, one exercise stuck with me - because it flipped everything I thought I knew on its head.

Our class was given a challenge: “Catch our attention and keep it. Use the whole stage. But no sound.” Instantly, the space erupted. Students jumped, flailed, ran, pulled faces - doing whatever they could to stand out.

I started with a quiet little idea of my own. But as the energy around me built, I panicked. I thought, this isn’t enough. I joined the frenzy - bigger, bolder, louder movements. But the more I tried to stand out, the more I faded into the chaos.

When it ended, our teacher said only one person truly held their attention. And it wasn’t the biggest or boldest. It was someone quietly telling a small story with simple gestures. No shouting. No drama. Just honesty, presence - and a clear narrative that made them want to know what happens next.

That moment stayed with me.

Because I realised something powerful: standing out isn’t about being loud. It’s about being real. It’s about telling a story in a way that makes people lean in.
